Why Fitness Goals are Important
It is said that “When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates” …. We believe this clearly holds true for our goals. Claiming ownership for a specific goal and ensuring that we have a burning desire to achieve it will be key to sticking it through and developing a strong connection to that goal. In other words, “intrinsic motivation” or the relentless pursuit to achieve something for you, which is not motivated by external rewards and in the end can result in life altering improvement… that’s what we are aiming at. So in the case of our fitness, wellness and health, intrinsic motivation is all about being mindful of our current state of happiness/gratitude and seeking to make incremental daily steps which focus on improvements in our health, wellness , fitness and athleticism instead of aesthetics.. that will come with being consist and committed to our healthy habits by making SMARTER (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely, developed Enthusiastically, and attached to Rewards) goals. We think the goal setting template (click here to download template) will be a useful tool for helping you reach your health, fitness and wellness goals for 2016.
